I was using 68.0. Mail merge (Andreas Bergmann) quit working.

I upgrade to 115.0. Mailmerge does not pick up pdf attachments correctly.

How can I revert back to 68.0 or slightly earlier, to restore full mail merge functionality. And all my old email. (Yes I have backups...)

It appears that thunderbird has created some format changes that make it difficult to revert, (and on a personal note, the new UI is horrible, who dreams up forever moving box/buttons around?)

I suggest you contact the Mailmerge author, as he/she will likely want to fix any problems, since that is a popular addon.

Thank you for your kind response. Alexander Bergman has been particularly helpful in the past (I have even paid him money...Yay!)

But it must irk Alexander that the TBird Team just cannot stop breaking things, and I wish they would stop mucking about with the UI, and putting completely unnecessary features in. A trivial example is receiving a pdf in the email. Now TBird save a copy of the PDF in some random place in the file system, and then offers a save again (expected behaviour). Why break the behaviour of 30 years, for some trivial "feature" that annoys 90% of the user base. The New UI is terrible. I have thought of a solution to go back to something like 62.0, and disable updates.....

And to add insult to injury, some nitwit in the Mozilla Community (because I logged into the wrong place trying to respond to this) has sent me gold badge. How about I hunt him down with pitchfork and tar brush....

I long ago gave up Firefox for Librewolf, shame there is not a LibreBird port yet...

Thank you for reading this far.....
