With regard to "keep me logged in" see if "Forget About This Site" will help.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

In the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History") select "Forget About This Site"

When you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

It is not Firefox that decides whether to enable that remember checkbox, but it is Yahoo's choice and there is not much you can do about this apart from contacting Yahoo and ask them to reconsider their choice as this also isn't a good choice for users that aren't on their own device.

Be sure you have Firefox's built-in pop-up blocker enabled. Some extensions/add-ons, like AdBlocker Ultimate and uBlock Origin, have a built-in "Block Element" tool which works very well.

I doubt the company Mozilla or the Firefox web browser is purposely giving you Yahoo popups on the Yahoo pages. Especially when Mozilla was (or perhaps still is) in a legal dispute with Yahoo staring in 2018.

Yahoo used to be a default search engine starting in Nov 2014 in most locales of Firefox instead of Google for a while till Nov 2017.
