Uninstalling McAfee Killed Firefox
New (to me) machine (Win10) came with 30 day McAfee installed. Uninstalled and it killed Firefox. Gave a missing file message at first so reinstalled Firefox. Now, no message, but Firefox opens with basically blank window and unresponsive.

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.
See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022":
- https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
- https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
You may also have to install the Visual Studio 2013 Redistributable Package. You need to reboot the computer.

Dropa,
Thank you for your response but not sure I understand. What do you mean by "Beyond factory install is what I would recommend" ??

Thank you cor-el. That fixed the problem. Side benefit - It refreshed my memory as to why I hate Edge so much !!
