How did you change the password in the first place?

I went to Tools, then preferences, then password tab, clicked saved passwords and hit remove all and then closed and then got a prompt to put in a new password which it did not accept. The old one had all kinds of EMPT or juno.pop (or whatever) stuff and the new one was just a simple name with numbers.

It doesn't work that way. You'd need to login to your account via webmail, and change the account password on the server. Only then delete the password Thunderbird has remembered. Enter the new password when prompted by Thunderbird.

I have a similar problem with Thunderbird and Juno. I did remember to change the password in Juno webmail first, then in TB. So why am I getting "authorization failed"?
