Hi,

my Firefox is always crashing when I'm watching videos on fullscreen (YouTube, Netflix etc.). After about 5 - 20 min the video stops but the audio is continuing. With escape or Alt+F4 i can get get back to the home screen of Windows 10. Then my mouse won't move anymore I also can't shut down my PC anymore with Alt+F4 or the Start menu. Eventhough I get the windows for that and can press enter (!). Therefore I need to reset by holding the Power-Button for some seconds ("cold Shutdown").

The problem is consistent after reinstallation of Firefox. It does not appear on Chrome.

Thanks for help!

Maybe Firefox can't keep up and there are dropped frames buffered on the hard drive causing Firefox to crash or hang.

You can check the memory use in the Windows Task Manager and possibly in the Firefox Task Manager.

Some menus have been rearranged in Firefox 87 and "Task Manager" has been moved to the Help menu.
