I am trying to move my thunderbird data to a new computer. I encountered problem halfway in copying the Thunderbird folder. The Inbox file (5.35GB) seems to large for the destination file system. Please help. I am desperate.

I used external, instead of flash drive and it worked. Thank you

I have tried compacting the inbox folder, but didn't seem to do anything significant

Is the 'destination file system' on an external or flash drive, or the target computer? If it's a drive that is FAT32 format, the maximum file size is 4GB. If it's a temporary storage drive, format it as NTFS to avoid this size limit.
