Seems this is an old problem but is still evident in TB68.5.0. Day start set to 07:00, end 19:00 with 12 hours displayed and these hours are highlighted correctly. When switching to calendar tab or changing week, display then starts at 03:30 and I have to scroll down to 07:00 to see my 12 hours displayed. This has worked fine in all previous versions. Deleting the sessions.json doesn't appear to make any difference and a new one is not re-created. I can't see any entried in the sessions.json file that seem to relate to the view in any case. Any ideas ?

Do you have the correct Timezone in Tools/Options/Calendar/General? Rename the xulstore.json file in the profile folder, while TB is closed. Does the calendar display look different?

Hi, Thanks for your suggestions. Timezone is set correctly. Renamed xulstore.json and opened TB again. Screen size is reduced but calendar now starts at 03:00 so same issue. View settings are still the same. New xulstore.json is created on close of TB.

Bug reported ages ago and it still occurs. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=668226

I've only used Lightning since it was downloaded as integral part of Thunderbird; never as a separately installed addon. I'm seeing exactly the same problem and have never known any different. It occurs under 'Day' and 'Week'. I set 9am to 5pm and show 10 hours, always starts at 3pm. If I set : 9am to 5pm and show 6 hours, always starts at 3pm and only shows the 6 greyed out hours prior to 9am. If I want all the hours in the 9-5 day to display without scrolling then you need to select 14 hours because you cannot get rid of the 6 hours prior to 9am from auto displaying.

Mind you once daylight saving starts, I expect it start at 4am again. It seems to alter when the clocks change.

If you scroll to the correct time eg: 9am is at the top. Then the info is saved during that session regardless of whether I close and reopen the Calendar, but once you exit thunderbird and restart, then it is back to incorrect display.

Sorry I'm not much help, other than saying I understand your issue and there is a bug report. Not certain whether anyone is actually working on the bug.

sfhowes....If you do not experience the same issue and perhaps you can see the setting that controls this in the xulstore.json, could you post that info. I'll then see if editing my xulstore file can force a change in behaviour.

I don't have the same issue, but as noted before, my profile was originally used in TB 60. A new profile created with 68 does have the issue, but I cannot find in xulstore.json where the scroll position is stored. With 75b1, the calendar shows the day starting at 8:00 a.m.

I uninstalled 60.9.1 and downloaded and installed 68.1.0 win32. In my case it did not create a new profile nor a *.default.release, it simply used the previous profile I've always used. So, I was surprised when others reported the new profile issue and discovered that it was expected. Odd I know given the normal, but it acted the same as any other release. Maybe things will improve with future updates :)

HI, I looked for relevant settings for this in xulstore.json but can't see any.

session.json has one item that seems to relate to the calendar view:

         {
           "mode": "calendar",
           "state": {
             "background": false
           },
           "ext": {}
         },

The calendar view settings are included in pref.js:

user_pref("calendar.view.dayendhour", 19); user_pref("calendar.view.daystarthour", 7); user_pref("calendar.view.visiblehours", 12);

but nothing that relates to the selection that is displayed from 03:00.

Noticed that if I change the timezone from London (GMT) to Berlin (GMT+1) the display starts from 02:00.
