i am using Thunderbird 60.9.1 and eery time i c lick the Thunderbird icon on my desktop and theinbox for a second the message pane come up how do i stop it. I have uninstalled reinstalled thunderbird pressed F8. ran in in both safe mode and normal with adons it continues to coe up how do remoe it or configure it to stop coming up, I a using windows10

Help/Troubleshooting, click Open Folder, close TB, delete session.json from the profile folder. Does the message pane setting now stick between restarts? Do you have a utility such as CCleaner or Privacy Eraser acting on TB?

i have done every thing short of removing it from the registry. Which i do not want to do and have to start all over agin with email contacts and extentions. is there away to turn it of permaently like in about config?

I was having a problem sending videos to mail recipients it said i had no email app but i had Thunderbird ticked as default a Microsoft rep told me to unninstall and re install and go to the registry and un in stall there which i did not because i was afraid id lose every thing' after reinstall the message pane comes up only for a spli second but before i reinstalled it did not after reinstalling the videos now wil send to mail recipients. the message pane i annoying
