I have very basic computer skills and due to support finishing for Windows 7 have purchased a new PC with Windows 10 and with help have transferred all Data including bookmarks to the new machine. Can anyone please tell me if there is any way of transferring all existing passwords onto the new machine. Appreciate any help that can be given but please try to make instructions easy to follow

Chosen solution

On the new computer, Open Firefox. (Repeating some instructions)

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder.

Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder

Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.

Now Close Firefox. This is your current profile.

Copy the files from the thumb drive to the profile folder. Note: This will overwrite the current files.

Thanks FredMcD. I managed to get the first part done but seem to have made a mistake with the copying onto the new system. Put all the items (10,000 odd) onto a thumb drive in a folder called New Folder then copied onto the new computer. They are there but are not being picked up. Not sure what I am doing wrong?
