Just downloaded latest version ,When I go to import bookmarks favorites etc I select edge follow it through, nothing transfers. I go back and do it again but this time I select explorer and a majority of the bookmarks transfer or import but not all of them. I running Win 10. I triple checked I'm using edge. Thanks

Hi jltd12514, sorry for the inconvenience. If Firefox isn't able to bring over your IE or Edge "Favorites" as Firefox "Bookmarks", then another option is to use export and import.

For the export step, you could check one of these articles:

For the import step, please see this article:

Firefox often will place the imported bookmarks into an Imported Bookmarks folder at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu. You can use the Library window to reorganize them to more suitable locations. This article may help with that:

Success?

Finally, there's an optional toolbar button to access your Bookmarks Menu more directly, which will probably be more familiar for IE and Edge users. Here's how to add it, either:

(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar

(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?

  • Click the "Library" button:
  • Click "Bookmarks"
  • Click "Bookmarking Tools"
  • Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"

Thanks for the reply. I did, tried everything but the html export. I don't use I.E. yet when I decided to select it off the transfer menu to see what might happen. It created a separate "folder" as the instructions said it would and inside was the majority of the bookmarks that were in Edge. I just downloaded Firefox today and it says it's up to date. The I.E. "thing" intrigues me. Thanks again
