Hello, I have problem with profile migration. At one time I had profile which contained 2 e-mails and I copied it from appdata directory. Its kinda big directory, weight about 45 GB, so i think that all messages should be there. I almost forgot, the email does not exist anymore on the server.

I though when I paste this profile directory back to the appdata dir these 2 e-mails will appear on my thunderbird. However it doesn't work. After paste and run thunderbird, client asks me to create new profile and require e-mail configuration... The problem is it doesn't exist anymore.

Help me please, I will be grateful

You can make TB recognize a profile folder by using Profile Manager to 'create' a profile:

To start Profile Manager, close TB, Winkey+R, type thunderbird.exe -p

I've done it before I created this topic. When I try use profile manager, I choose directory but TB is kinda empty. Some directories show but there is no messages.

If the messages are no longer on the server, and it's an IMAP account, they will not appear in TB when it syncs. with the server. If you just want the mail folders, just copy the mbox files from the profile folders into the Local Folders folder of the profile folder of an active TB setup (while TB is closed).

Yes, it's IMAP. I will try copy it to local folders folder.
