How do I change the sequence of my mailboxes in my inbox?
I have several different mailboxes (from different providers) in TB. Let's suppose mailbox A, mailbox B, mailbox C and mailbox D. Apparently the most recent created mailbox is displayed at the bottom of my mailbox-list. What is the method to change the sequence of the mailboxes (as example, mailbox D on top, then mailbox A, mailbox C, mailbox D). Thanks in advance for the advise.
Chosen solution
If you are only wanting to set a default mail account - the one that appears at the top of the list, then this can be done in Account Settings.
- Right click on mail account name in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
- click on mail account you want to set as default.
- click on 'Account actions'
- click on 'Set as default'
- click on OK
If you are needing to rearrange several mail accounts, then you can use this addon: Manually Sort Folders
Download addon xpi file to desktop or downloads folder
How to install: 'Menu icon' > 'Addons' Select 'Extensions' in left pane. click on gear wheel icon and select : 'Install addon from file'
locate the addon xpi file you downloaded and click on 'Open' You may need to restart Thunderbird at prompt.

Hey Toad-Hall,
many thanks for the fast response. I choose to install the "Manually Sort Folders" add-on which works perfect.
