Trying to install last pass and told that it is not supported. I have managed to add-on last pass on another platform using standard Firefox but was unable to place lp icon on top bar. This all leads me to think Firefox for Android and lastpass are not compatible. Is this correct?

you may want to ask LastPass about this as well.

to be clear, for someone else with more experience in this area, what is saying that lastpass(?) is not supported? ff? lastpass? the phone os?

LastPass is a well used password manager that works well with desktop Firefox. My new Android Galaxy tablet will not allow a Lastpass addon to the Firefox Android Beta.

Hence my question - does Firefox Android version support Lastpass?

Yes- so it is the *tablet* which notifies you that it is incompatible?

Regardless, if Lastpass installs but ff refused the addon portion, i would try it with ff stable, not a beta or nightly channel version of ff. Something may change or be unstable in beta, and Lastpass will not be releasing an addon that necessarily works for a beta version of ff. It may work on desktop for your desktop os, but not in ff in your Android version.

You can always report that the addon does not work to the beta testing bug report channel, but clearly the beta realizes something is incompatible. (Probably the manifest in the addon declares it will not work in versions above the current stable release of ff.)

Beta is beta for a reason. ;)
