I upgraded to Thunderbird 60 and now can't use up and down arrows in lists.

In the new Thunderbird, it looks like basic key configuration has changed.

I can't click on an email in my inbox and move up and down the list using the up and down arrows. The cursor moves into the email text, and moves up and down there, and I can only move in the list by mouse-clicking a new email.

Also, I can't delete emails in the list using the Delete key, I have to right-click and choose 'Delete message'.

I have a Dell XPS-13 running Windows 10. I've reverted to Thunderbird 52 so I can continue to use Thunderbird, and would be happy to upgrade if these issues are fixed.

Thanks.

Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

Hi Matt -- Thanks for the tip. I actually downloaded the British English version of Thunderbird 60 and that seemed to solve the problem. It didn't give me an option to restart with add-ons disabled but made it work anyhow. I'll remember your tip for next time. Thanks, jodiem
