The right-click context menu as late as yesterday, 8-01-18, contained an item "open link in new window". Now it is gone. I want it back. Do I have to revert to v60 and turn off automatic updates?

I also want to get rid of "open in new tab".

Normally the context menu for a link has:

  • Open Link in New Tab
  • Open Link in New Window {not shown in private windows}
  • Open Link in New Private Window

There's no built-in way to edit items on/off menus. Extensions can add an item to a menu, but not remove existing items.

If you want to hide a menu item, you can do that using custom style rules in a userChrome.css file. Has that come up in any of your previous threads?

Well, now I have " Open Link in New Window" again. I'll have to try to reproduce the conditions under which it was missing.

Thanks, jscher200.
