Firefox works at any other time with no problem except when listening to talksport radio here in the UK. It's only been happening on & off for about a week.

Installed addons:- Adblock Plus & LastPass. & Shockwave Flashplayer plugin. I'm also using the latest Firefox version 64-bit.

I've restarted Firefox in safe mode and even reset it, which works for a few hours, but then reverts to hanging whenever I try to access another website when I have talksport radio open again.

As soon as I close Talksport Radio Player everything seems ok again.

This hasn't previously casued any problems before the last week or so & I haven't changed any firewall/AV settings.

It sounds like the problem is coming from the site itself and not from FF?

Hi

Sorry to hear about this issue. Is it just happening with Talksport or is it also happening with other stations (BBC Radio 5 Live for example)?

Finger crossed we can get this resolved before the football starts in earnest(!).

Hi, in Canada and have no problem getting your Radio show in Private Mode.

Could you try that please. Open it in Private Mode and get it working then carry on about your stuff in a regular window. Might be a crude work around if works as it did for me.

You do not mention what your A/V or Firewall are : fyi : There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate, sometimes issues with Mcafee.

You could try this : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

BBC 5 Live presents no problems at all. Can browse without any hanging pages.

My AV & Firewall are both Zonealarm Free. I run disk cleanup pretty often & use CCleaner on a regular basis, as well as Malwarebytes.

I should clarify. I have no problem at all getting talksport. It works fine. It's just when I'm listening & try to access other websites via new tabs.

The private window suggestion works as a work around, but so does my own solution of just listening via Edge & going about my browsing normally with Firefox.

I have dropped an email to Talksport, no reply yet.

Thank you folks for reading & offering suggestions, much appreciated.
