I am unable to access the bill-pay portion of my bank's website because Mozilla FIrefox is unsupported by Checkfree in any version past 55.0. I am on 57.0.4. Can I retrograde to a 55.0 version in order to avoid using "Chrome?"

I know this is Checkfree's issue, but they refuse to do anything about it. I hate having to use multiple browsers. can anyone off any ideas?

Chosen solution

Can go down to 52.5.3 ESR. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: *https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because:

New release this date : Flash Player Version: 28.0.0.137 Current Version

If still want to dabble with Firefox 57+ can install always beta Developers Edition https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/ it has a compatibility mode at install end. Shares bookmarks but installs into separate folders. Do not need to use Developer Tools and again is always beta.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Sorry, Firefox 55 is no longer supported by Mozilla and using an older version for financial transactions isn't a wise thing to do. All the security bugs that have been patched since that version are "known to the world", and can be more easily exploited now that they are known.

Have you tried contacting CheckFree to see what their problem is with Firefox browsers?

Or maybe the problem is with a security application that you have installed?

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Flash Player Version: Version 28.0.0.126

Thanks, but I wouldmt have bothered any one if I hadn't already tried everything you suggest.

Checkfree says, "Firefox 57.0.4 is not supported, nor will it be." They suggested I switch browsers to "Chrome."

Hell, I even de-bugged the code fir them; they didn't care. It's a money issue.

That's odd I can use FF57.0.4 on my Parents Online bank and my online bank and bill pay without problems. Sounds like the Bank is giving the run around.

Thank you. I will try this.

Uh, "Your parent's online bank account?"

Thank you for your attempt, but I have read the code MY bank has in their web site. After working with them for six weeks, CHECKFREE acknowledged that they WILL NOT SUPPORT FF57.0+. Apparently, the number and complexity of updates that Mozilla puts out costs them too much money to maintain.

I wish it were just my bank; that would be simple. I will have to retrograde to FF55 as directed by another forum user.
