Can Firefox please support a feature for running desktop apps, like Chromium's '-app' feature?
I like to use desktop apps on Ubuntu, pretty much like the apps on FirefoxOS. I am now using Chromium with the -app directive. I would love to use Firefox instead. Did Firefox completely abandon its FirefoxOS vision of "native web apps"? Also, Chromium's Electron seems way ahead of Firefox in this respect.
If this is not the place to ask, please tell me what is.

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
I already used the "submit feedback" form a while ago. I did it again now, but the form provides no means for interaction nor feedback back to me. I also tried Twitter, but no response whatsoever:

Are you sure that the current Firefox browser does not support a desktop app feature? When Mozilla launched FirefoxOS, they were really pushing the vision of web apps everywhere. I can understand why they stopped battling the big smart phone platforms, but I cannot understand why they abandoned their vision on the desktop too. I switched to Chrome/Chromium for many web apps: It feels like Mozilla is betraying their users and I would like to understand why.
That is something I don't know. I called for help.
