Firefox is again doing the same as the other browsers with the top sites. And I HATE that. Before Quantum you had the the control over 15 top sites, and now it is 10. I was used to have AND USE 15 top sites, and now I am restricted to 10. I HATE that. I would have loved to have even more than 15, and that it would be more customable than it was, or now is. Mozilla, why you do this??? Please give me more top sites, make it more customable. We are out of the stone age where an average monitor was 15" with 800x600, so use the space that there is now available!

Chosen solution

Go to about:config via Firefox's address bar, click the warning to proceed, search for browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesCount, double click the pref and set it to 15.

I registered for an account here just to say that this is so AWESOME. It's the thing that I love most about Firefox - there's always a thing somewhere in about:config that makes it possible to do incredible customisations on FF.

Thank you very much to folks at Mozilla for keeping this up! (and also for always updating The Book ;) haha). Mammon and the Twins can't do what The Beast can do.
