Chosen solution

This is going to be a two-step inquiry:

Do you currently have ReminderFox installed and enabled?

You can check on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then scan down the right side. Any disabled extensions cluster at the bottom.

If you find ReminderFox but it's disabled, click the Enable button then use the link to restart Firefox to have that take effect.

If you don't see ReminderFox at all, you can reinstall it from the Add-ons site: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/reminderfox/

Assuming ReminderFox is installed and running:

Does ReminderFox show your data?

If not, do you recall using Firefox's Refresh feature in recent weeks? The tell-tale sign is an Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop.

If you find that folder, your ReminderFox data from the day of the Refresh might be inside. If you think you might have deleted that folder at some point, check the Windows Recycle Bin to see whether you can restore it.

Inside Old Firefox Data will be one or more folders with semi-random names. If you click inside and ReminderFox was used in that profile, you should find a folder named reminderfox that contains your data. Do you see anything like that?

Edit: If you do find a reminderfox folder with data files, you may be able to import it into ReminderFox. See:

I just went back to the old version of firefox, 56.0.2 and Reminder Fox came back. This was silly on FF part not giving a warning that they were not supporting Reminder Fox any longer. Now I will be afraid to download a new version of FF.
