When I enter the password that worked yesterday, it now says: Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server mail.comcast.net responded: [AUTH] Authentication failed. Then it asks me to enter my password again. Please help. Thanks.

In Thunderbird go to the Help Menu. Select Troubleshooting Information Click Copy to Clipboard. Come back here and paste that info into a reply window. Paste shortcut - control+v All the info about printers and fonts is not needed.
