Firefox is crashing my computer (complete lockup) since the recent update.

I love firefox, but am having recent problems where I'm listening to an audio stream and I do something (anything?) and firefox quits responding. If I bring up the task manager and attempt to close firefox, my machine freezes up and I have to do a power shutdown to get my machine back. No BSOD, just freezes . This just started happening since last week.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
