I want to send email with link to LAN network location (i.e. \\server\Photos) to a friend in the same LAN, for him can access that folder through Windows Explorer. I can write the link in the mail, but my friend click in that link and nothing happen. Is there any native way (Thunderbird) or through some add-on/plugin to do this? Thanks, regards Paulo

This is Microsoft propriety stuff. Your friend has to copy the link from the email and paste it into IE or Windows Explorer.
