Got this message that my computer security was being attacked. Message looked like it was coming from Microsoft. It asked for sign on info, and wouldn't allow me to exit in any way other than shutting the computer down via the hard "off" switch. Couldn't navigate to normal shut down process. It indicated "Security error 0x00759B". I looked at log later. Message seems to have come from Bellashopping.com???? Was this a fishing expedition? It had scary control over my options! I scanned the computer with microsoft's built in security and turned up nothing?

. Whenever you get a message / popup like that;

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS OR ANY PHONE NUMBERS ! !

Such messages are only Spam that could lead you to Fake Support. Not only can they damage or hack your system, they charge you to do so.

You can report such a site at; Google Report Phishing Page {web link} which is the same when done while on site by going to Help > Report Web Forgery

If it's like the fake FBI/Interpol browser lock page, This add-on can stop such pages; disallow Script Button {web link} The Disallow Script button looks like a letter "M" and the title is the Minus Script, drag and drop the button on a toolbar. If the button is not displayed then nothing operates, except rules for plugins.

I had two attacks this week, once in my desktop once in my laptop.

The pop up window when it is playing is impossible to shut off the normal way, I shut it off by calling up the task bar and get Firefox to end task. If you load Firebox again, the window will start up again, so don't. Before you start Firefox again, I ran CCleaner and wipe the firefox cache. Then you get rid of the offending window and its message. To prevent further attack, I use Adblock Plus with Adblock Pop up, in the pop up addon preference I choose to block all pop ups, hopefully this will stop future attacks. The Firefox built pop up blocker doesn't seem to work on these pop ups.

Close the browser any way you can. Then open the browser by right clicking on the browser icon and selecting Open New Window. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit.
