Starting with v45.0 , existing Filters stoped working & messages dissapeared from INBOX. Where did they go , and how do I fix

New messages to my IN BOX would be moved to any of 5 different sub-folders under my In Box. Now all my filtered messages get moved from IN BOX, but I have no idea where they are moved to.

Chosen solution

Solution to the problem was to Select the Columns to Display Pul Down Menu. Next uncheck "CORRESPONDENTS". Then check "FROM"

Version 45.0 changed the "FROM" field to "CORRESPONDENTS". Since there was no "FROM" data, filters looking for this data could not function properly. Changing the setting back to "FROM", allowed the filters looking for "FROM" data to work properly again.

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try one of the following:

  • Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.
