I tried uninstalling and installing firefox multiple times, but none helped. What does that permissions thing displayed in the error message mean? I assumed it to be the administrator thing and tried that but in vain.

Hello Gaurav_W, check your security software, probably blocks firefox.

You can check it also if you boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) and then see if that allows to start firefox.

thank you
