What do I need to do too watch videos at Picasa albums. Used to work fine
I have used Picasa Albums for years with firefox. Now when I go on line my pictures show fine but my videos show a blank screen with "INVALID PARAMETERS" in the center. I show my programs are updated. Google help forum suggests that I switch to google chrome, which I dislike. Any fixes out there?

Well thank you for trying. Maybe I will try chrome on my lap top and see what happens. Thanks, Wally

Could you give a link to a Picasa page or album that has this problem? If you do not want to link to your own Picasa, maybe you can find the same problem in a public album.
Also, if you right-click the problem player, do you get a short menu for the Flash plugin, or a different menu?
Here is the link https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir?uname=wacowally1&target=ALBUM&id=6147667191224709041&authkey=Gv1sRgCOuil9zvzYejlQE&feat=email
It also says I have the correct Flash player for my XP system and firefox
The first one I clicked was a video hosted on YouTube that players in YouTube's new "HTML5" player.
I don't know whether YouTube is using the HTML5 player for you or the Flash player, but Windows XP doesn't have some of the components that Firefox uses on newer versions to decode MP4 videos. Thus, you probably would have better luck using the Flash player. Could you double-check your setting here:
If Google doesn't give you the choice, there are a couple of extensions to force Flash on YouTube. I have no idea which is better:
- https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/youtube-flash-video-player/
If you are already set to use Flash on YouTube and you get the Flash menu when you right-click the error, hmm, must be something else!
I tried both of the links but got no change.
If I install the extension to force Flash, then I get the same error you do. So something is wrong with this code that the YouTube embed generates --
<embed flashvars="cr=US&clipboard_swf=https%3A%2F%2Fs.ytimg.com%2Fyts%2Fswfbin%2Fplayer-vflxDD-Dj%2Fclipboard_polyfill.swf&apiary_host&innertube_context_client_version=20150512&el=embedded&ssl=1&gapi_hint_params=m%3B%2F_%2Fscs%2Fabc-static%2F_%2Fjs%2Fk%3Dgapi.gapi.en.7rOxC4EUJrE.O%2Fm%3D__features__%2Fam%3DAAQ%2Frt%3Dj%2Fd%3D1%2Frs%3DAItRSTO4gz1Nv8SUg2RgiKkyXhOlRYFsWw&is_html5_mobile_device=false&ps=picasaweb&apiary_host_firstparty&autohide=1&hl=en_US&legacy_behavior=1&rel=1&enablejsapi=1&host_language=en&index=0&innertube_api_key=AIzaSyAO_FJ2SlqU8Q4STEHLGCilw_Y9_11qcW8&eventid=qbpTVYmRMuDP-gXe6oOgCQ&player_error_log_fraction=1.0&fexp=935215%2C936110%2C9407662%2C9408142%2C9408596%2C9408708%2C9408710%2C9408767%2C9408861%2C9410630%2C9413297%2C9414857%2C9414869%2C945137%2C948124%2C952612%2C952637%2C952640%2C952642&innertube_api_version=v1&loaderUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fwacowally1%2FVACATION20152%3Fauthkey%3DGv1sRgCOuil9zvzYejlQE%26feat%3Demail&playerapiid=player_uid_454857655_1&html5_unavailable=1&framer=https%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fwacowally1%2FVACATION20152%3Fauthkey%3DGv1sRgCOuil9zvzYejlQE%26feat%3Demail" bgcolor="#000000" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="opaque" src="https://s.ytimg.com/yts/swfbin/player-vflxDD-Dj/watch_as3.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" tabindex="0" id="player_uid_454857655_1" name="player_uid_454857655_1" height="100%" width="100%">
-- but I'm not sure where to begin in addressing that.
Are you saying that Picasa albums is using u-tube to show my pics? The utube part I don' understand.
Yes, an embedded YouTube page is the one with the error. That doesn't mean your video is actually on YouTube -- when I use the HTML5 player, the content is streamed from video.google.com. But the Flash-based player seems to live on YouTube.
I don't suppose opting in to the HTML5 player is effective? That would be the easiest solution for Windows Vista/7/8, but unfortunately may not work on XP.
After reading the threads on Google's forums, I don't hold out much hope for figuring out where the problem is...
