Why are my "reply" messages not saved anywhere

When I click reply and send the message, nothing is saved in the sent box or anywhere else. I need copies of these replies. How do you save reply messages?

Look at Account Settings -> Copies & Folders -> 'When sending messages, automatically;'. check 'Place a copy in:' and pick a folder.
