how do I download and not just play but retain an mp4 video file?

I want to play a TED talk in a class I'm teaching without having to use a glitchy wifi network; therefore I want to retain the mp4 file on my computer. I could find no option to do this.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

There are several file down-loaders, and download managers.
