Why don't my inbox emails load?
About 1pm Jan 19, my inbox stopped showing my emails. I have 20 or so emails saved in my inbox and after doing an update to 31.4 my older emails that were in my inbox will not load. I can not see any of the messages, only the list that shows in the inbox. I need thoses emails - Are they still there? Is there a Thunderbird fix for this? Please help! I need these travel documents...

First of all, if your ISP has a web-based email screen (such as mail.gmail.com), go there and get the travel documents you need!
Are the missing emails shown on the website?
Are you using IMAP or POP?
Did you have to set up new email accounts, or were they carried over from before the update?
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-receive-messages and then come back here for more help.
My emails I lost in my inbox were already downloaded off the website server. They are not available on the website server anymore. They were older emails. I believe that the headers got scrambled somehow because when I would click on one it would show me the header of the last email I was just looking at, then I would click on a different one and it showed me the header of the FaceBook email I just deleted. The headers got mixed up and the body of the emails would not show up. I am using POP email, and NO I did not setup up anything new. I updated my Thunderbird to the new 34.4 version, then my emails got messed up.
I have since done the REPAIR on the inbox and now those emails I could not see have disappeared. I fear they are gone forever.
It will not help now but to help prevent file corruption in the future read this article.http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keep_it_working_%28Thunderbird%29
