I have 2 PC (Windows 7 64bit) and one of them won't load https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ - it shows the yellow "yield" triangle, instead of the green lock. If I click on the yield sign it says there's no certificate info. On the one that works it shows :

Your connected to mozilla.org which is run by mozilla foundation (more info) Verified by DigiCert Inc The connection to this site is secure

I can't understand how or when the certificate for the other machine got lost/corrupted I tried exporting it from the "good" machine and then importing into the "bad" one with no luck

How can I get Firefox to regenerate/reobtain the certificate for its own addons site (without having to reinstall the whole thing from scratch please!).

Do you mean the orange ! triangle appears in the address bar? That icon usually indicates mixed active content in the page. You normally would not see this unless you disabled blocking of mixed active content by clicking a shield icon or changing a setting in about:config.

When you hit

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/

Firefox should redirect to a particular language site such as

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

If your Firefox is displaying a non-forwarded page, something strange is happening.

After more poking, I went to about:config and filtered for security.ssl and saw several entries were in bold, so I restored them to the Firefox defaults. Restarted Firefox and the addon's page finally works again.

But there's always a but I started experiencing with 34.x and now 35.x. I use Tab Mix Plus and it just wouldn't load my saved tabs, so I decided to downgrade to 33.1 and that took care of it. Then I decided to go up again to 34.0.5 and to my surprise Tab Mix Plus worked again. Thinking I was out of the woods I updated to 35.0 but no, Tab Mix Plus didn't load at all, so I ended up back at 34.0.5.

The certificate issue with the addons page was solved for all 3 last versions of Firefox so I still need to find out what's making TMP fail.

Please note that of the 4 PC I have here, this is the only one with the problem. On all other 3 (2 Windows 7, 1 Vista) TMP and the addons page works just fine.

So something about the FF install that's not kosher. Also note that even disabling all plugins except for TMP still doesn't work.

Is TMP up to date? Version 0.4.1.6 seems to be the latest. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/

Yep. 0.4.1.6 an all machines, but it only has issues on mine. Not sure if it was conincidence, but when it wouldn't work on 34.0.5, I did two things: reinstalled TMP (now that the addons page was working again) but also while I was on 33.0.5 I exported the TMP settings, which I then imported under 34.0.5 - and there it worked.

Same experiment once I installed 35.0 again didn't pan out, so I downgraded to 34.0.5 which is where I am at now.

I wasn't able to post my issue to the TMP forums because according to that site, my IP is blocked because of spamming or go figure why so I'll have to figure it out on my own... or have my ISP changed my external IP.
