How can I choose which Personal Certificate Firefox "Automatically" sends to websites?

I work for multiple clients (companies), all who have accounts with the same Support Website of a Software company. They provide the ability to use a certificate generated and saved in Firefox. As a result, I have several users, one for each client, and I have generated several certificates and installed them in Firefox. Now, when browsing the support website, it's structured in a way that asks for the password/certificate multiple times during a visit (yeah, it sucks and has sucked for 11+ years).

The option to let Firefox use the same certificate automatically suited me well in this situation, as long as I had only one such certificate installed. But when I have several, it's not very good: The popup that asks me to choose a certificate shows the user names, all of which are in the formal "Snnnnnnnnnn" where each "n" is a digit. So I'm presented with the choice between (for example): 1. Certificate for user S9823478293 2. Certificate for user S0032398478 3. Certificate for user S2389239843

Remembering which user belongs to each client doesn't work very well for me. I wish that I had an option in Firefox to associate a "title" with each certificate, and an option to choose which one will be entered "automatically", for the session or for the next few hours. For instance a dialog box with this list: 1. Roofs Inc. ----- S2389239843 2. Puppies Ltd. ----- S0032398478 3. Fat Cars Gmbh ---- S9823478293

I was thinking of using some addon to do something similar, maybe someone here can help.

Maybe file an enhancement bug on Bugzilla to add this feature.
