So Firefox kept starting up with a session restore tab, and a "horray, you're firefox is update" tab...and it's always wrong, so why would I be celebrating that???

So after closing the tabs, respecifying my home page, next time it opens, same crap. Clicking on the "home" icon, takes me to my home page www.google.ca, and then it sits there and does nothing for about as long as I am willing to wait (forever!)

So I remove and reinstall with version 23, and guess what...same damned problems. Damn thing won't do anything!!!

Obviously something in the (XP Pro SP3 etc.) registry, cookies, or old settings is f----- with the startup...but of course, I have no idea what.

Anybody care to shed some light on this "bug"?

Thanks. A very annoyed user
