I previously set my security and now FF is blocking the most random sites, including those to find a job. How do I UNDO security if I have Norton already?
blank page and tab says "blockpage.cgi (GIF Image, 2x1 pixels) how do I undo this? Doesn't happen on Explorer

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps in case your security software is blocking this.
A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You can try to reset Firefox.

If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks,history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).
It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be cautious to avoid carrying over the problem.
