For the past two months ive been going through a cycle where my internet has been going really slow, and certain pages cant even be opened (its a different webpage each time not the same one) but then one day firefox will crash and it will go back to working perfectly for a few weeks until it starts up again. After it crashes it asks if i want to open up the old pages i was viewing and there are always like 30 of my home page suggested. Im sure there is another way to fix this, but i think the easiest way would be to just force a crash every time it starts to go slow, so how could i do this?

thank you

hello, i'm not sure if crashing firefox is a valid troubleshooting procedure - you could try if a reset of firefox tackles the issue: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

is resetting going to delete something like antvideos and all the vids i have downloaded? a crash has fixed this every time so i'd really like to just find a way to do that so do you know a way?

If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, passwords, cookies, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more crash reports that have this format:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.

  • You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

thats 4 different ones from today but these arent the full on crashes (and it looks like im not actually putting my specific crash info there), i need to find a way to force the type of crash that pops up the message that says firefox just crashed, is that possible? and if so can someone please just tell me how?

i google "how can i force a firefox crash" and others have asked this question on this or other forums with no response, maybe there isnt an answer but there probably is so if someone knows can you please just post how to do so?

Try disabling or removing your conduit plug-in, a frequent source of trouble.

Look in the Search Box above or Google for extra information.
