Pull down menus, including bookmarks, become invisible when using them with firefox on a second monitor.
All pull-down menus, including bookmarks, cut&paste and main Firefox menu button, go invisible most of the time while active and using Firefox on my second monitor. It works normally on my primary monitor. The menus go invisible and while mousing over them to select an entry, they become visible for a fraction of a second and then go invisible again. Needless to say, this makes selecting the correct menu entry very difficult. This started happening after switching from Win XP to Win 7 with Firefox 5 and now still happens with 6. I also place Firefox on my second monitor at home (Win 7) without any problem (version 5).

When I grab & move the FireFox window to my primary monitor, the pop-up and pull-down menus look fine; when I move the window to my secondary display, these menus go invisible, with perhaps just an outline (bottom and right side shadow) visible. I do not notice this with any other application, so I'm assuming it is FireFox specific and not anything to do with my display drivers or Win 7. It does appear to be re-drawing the menus as I mouse down them so I am able to catch a glimpse of the menu entries if I pay close attention. See attached image for an example.

That definitely helped. Thanks! I wonder why hardware acceleration works fine on one display, but not on a second display? I found that sometimes I could right click on text and see the pop-up menu until I moused over the logo for the current page and then it would disappear with just the shadow of the menu visible.
Why can't it just be fixed? This has been going on for over a year.
