Whether I try to start Firefox directly or in safe-mode it shows up in Task Manager, hangs at about 4MB memory allocated and 0 CPU and does nothing for approximately 15+ minutes. Figured starting in debug would fix this issue but it looks like its further down to the base of firefox loading even before any sort of extension or plugin.

Debug session info here:

the time frame between these 2 ModLoad lines in the above pastebin is approx 20 minutes:

17. ModLoad: 00000000`74ae0000 00000000`74ae5000 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\wshtcpip.dll

18.

ModLoad: 00000000`64aa0000 00000000`64ac1000 C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\components\browsercomps.dll

Is there anymore debugging I can provide to help diagnose this issue?

I have a similar situation. After I updated to 4.0.1, Firefox did start normally but hanged after an hour of use for about 10 minutes and I couldn't do anything. I have to go to Task Manager to force it to quit. I have to do it (force FF to quit) three times this morning. Finally, FF is working normally so far.

I am using Windows XP SP3.
