The Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article may help.

If you post several of the crash report IDs, as shown in the article I linked to above, somebody may be able to pinpoint the cause of your crashes.

Unfortunately I can not see anything conclusive as to the cause, a related bug report gave some indications that an add-on may be causing this type of crash. One of your add-ons that you should check to see if it is causing this is Webroot. Try disabling the Webroot add-on, then restart Firefox and see if it still crashes.

To disable the add-on, open the add-ons manager (in the Tools menu select Add-ons), then select Webroot in the list of installed extensions, and click on the Disable button. Re-start Firefox to complete the process.

If Webroot is not the cause, try the procedure in the troubleshooting extensions and themes article.

I have two Webroot Add-ons:- Webroot Toolbar 1.69.1 and Webroot malicious URL filtering 1.0.

I have disabled the Webroot malicious URL filtering which rates the Google search links as safe or otherwise. Then I have tried a link which crashed Firefox before

and this time Firefox did not crash.

It looks as though this Add-on could be the problem. The new Webroot, version 7.0.4.102, appears to have been started on 29/07/2010.
