I cannot connect to Internet with Firefox
I have the same issue with Firefox 3.6.6 since 3 p.m. gmt, on Windows 7 environment and NIS 2010.
Pop-up message from NIS invited me to restart my computer. After restarting, I have noticed these files in quarantining: nssdbm3.dll, softokn3.dll, freebl3.dl. Extension has been renamed .chk.
Since them, each time I launch firefox, I can see this error message with the error console: Erreur : uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80570016 (NS_ERROR_XPC_GS_RETURNED_FAILURE) [nsIJSCID.getService]" nsresult: "0x80570016 (NS_ERROR_XPC_GS_RETURNED_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsUrlClassifierListManager.js :: PROT_ListManager :: line 79" data: no]

There appears to be a problem with Norton recognizing those files as valid. See: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/What-is-WS-Reputation-1/m-p/243005/highlight/true
Here is how to find this kind of information: In Google search type "firefox norton freebl3.dll nssdbm3.dll" (including the quotation marks) and it is the second item.

I just Installed Firefox 3.6.12 for the Mac. This was a fresh install after I rebuilt my system. I downloaded Firefox and installed it. I then copied the support files from the version I had, and the first time I tried to run Firefox I received this error. I do not have any Norton software on my Mac or any other anti-virus software on my Mac. In fact, the only additional software I have installed is iWork 09, iLife 09, Open Office and Microsoft Office 2004 for the Mac. I am going to see if I can find the earlier release of Firefox to see if that will work. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
