Something changed a few weeks ago (about November 30) and since then Thunderbird will not allow me access to any new emails, nor to be able to send new emails. Instead, I get a large pop-up window which basically says "Enter credentials: Mozilla Thunderbird Email wants to access your Google Account <my email typed here> This will allow Mozilla Thunderbird Email to: Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail". I don't want anyone to permamently delete any of my emails, nor do I want anyone sending emails from my email account (etc, etc). SO I click deny, and the pop-up goes away - that is until I try to use Thunderbird and it pops up again. I've been using Thunderbird for many years and never had this problem before. Do the Thunderbird or Mozilla techs know anything about this and how do I fix it, or is it a new policy (which means I will no longer be using Thunderbird)? I have searched here some time in December but nothing suggested by other users worked for me.
