Is there any way to extend the visibility of the pop-up switch notification which reads "New tab opened Switch"? I mean another half second or two?

I'm talking about the momentary button on the bottom of the screen which provides a way to immediately switch over to the newly opened tab.

I usually don't switch, but I'm usually too slow to click when I DO want to switch.

Hi

Thank you for your feedback. That message was one that a number of users found was visible for a longer period of time than was nessescary so I understand that the time that it is visible for was reduced.

I'm still a bit puzzled by your reply... (Not so much, actually, by your reply... but more so, about the thinking that goes into updates and changes...)

If some users found the "New Tab Opened" notification lingered too long on the screen, wouldn't any reasonable, clearly thought out solution allow users to set the delay time, rather than arbitrarily just shorten the notification's time interval...? (Are designers that short on time...?)

My version of Firefox for Android is up to date (hopefully) and it's hit or miss as to whether touching the notification (or even lingering on it) will cause the 'New Tab' to actually open in the foreground... or be tucked away in the background. (And, also... a SETTINGS option should have reasonably been available that addressed whether the newly opened link would open up IN THE FOREGROUND automatically...!)

I hope I'm not coming across as being unduly critical, but browsers and all features need to address the needs for such a wide range of people... Some are quick and young, some are older and react a bit slower, and some are just average folks... and, of course... even those that are just fanatical about perfection (from only THEIR point of view).

I'll be forwarding this, in hopes that software folks will LINGER A BIT LONGER in considering the 'speed factor' in future updates for this "New Tab Opened" issue, so that ALL users can cope with this particular android issue.

And... Thanks, Paul, for your original reply...!
