"Your browser is being managed by your organization."
- Firefox 82.02 64-bit
- Windows 20H2 Build: 19042.160
- This is a standalone workstation in perfect working order. Checkpoint Zonealarm is running but configured to be alone and hidden.
- Emsisoft AV set to alert for malware,pups,add-ons-extensions. No delete or quarantine
- Kabuto Proactive PC management tool running. I'm the admin. It only updates Firefox if out of date.
- Windows Defender is running periodic scans and reputation based protection running. Logs don't show anything.
- Ive been running this same config for years without incident. Ive never seen "Your browser is being managed by your organization."
- Mozilla needs a better explanation than what they are giving.

I'm not sure why your add-on(s) were removed from Firefox. If it's not a recurring issue, it could just be that the add-ons weren't up to date for some reason. Try downloading the missing ones again from addons.mozilla.org or the original source.
As for the Your browser is being managed by your organization message that appears for some users in the Firefox settings page, you can click that message to get a more detailed explanation of what is being controlled. The message indicates that you have policy enabled on Firefox.
For the average user that's using a personal computer not controlled by an organization, the antivirus is often the cause of this message. Many antivirus programs make use of the ImportEnterpriseRoots
policy so that they can scan your connections and protect you from bad connections.
In your case, I assume that's why the message is appearing for you.
You can check the about:policies#active page to see whether policies are active (63+).
You can inspect the Mozilla and Firefox keys with the Windows Registry Editor in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and in HKEY_CURRENT_USER with the Windows Registry Editor to see whether GPO policy rules are active.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\
Note that the mere presence of the "Mozilla\Firefox\" key is sufficient to make Firefox display this notification, so if you have the Firefox key then remove it and only leave the Mozilla key or remove this key as well if it is empty.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\ =>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\
