new installation of TB rejects my password
Windows 10 new machine. I have TB with Imap on 4 other computers with the same account. Checked the password through webmail. It's the good one. deleted the account and tried again. Looked through the internet. Don't know what to do. We had problems with certificate before but it's not the same message.

Who's your email provider?
it's a private email provider, a company nearby. The error is "Login to server mail.my provider... failed" Retry EnterNewPassword or Cancel
Please confirm that you have accessed the 'Firewall' and set 'Thunderbird' as an allowed program.
I created a rule inbound and outbound in the system and disabled the Norton firewall. that doesn't help.

I pushed the button Solved by mistake. I checked the settings and nothing needed to be changed.
Still no emails
I finally made it work. Weirdly enough it was only the account name that was different in SMTP settings. not the login.
