Should I migrate to firefox ESR to keep using XP?
I have windows XP and my processor is less than pentium 4. Am currently running regular firefox 48.0.2. I am notified it is no longer supported. I never heard before about migrating to ESR. Mozilla.org says: These users should migrate to ESR 52. Is that possible for me? How do I do that? But will security updates end after September 2017?

Doesn't redirect for me, OP. In any case, here's an alternative link to 45.9.0esr for Windows 32-bit.

hi ayrehead2, unfortunately if you're on a very old processor that doesn't support sse2 instructions 48.0.2 is the last version that runs on those machines - if your device with windows xp is compatible you would have been automatically updated to firefox 52esr already. Your hardware is no longer supported
ultimately you should look into replacing your setup - when stranded on an operating system and browser which no longer receive security updates you're putting all your data at risk when being connected to the internet.
Note that you can consider to use the Firefox 45.9.0 ESR version that is more recent and has more security fixes.

Suppose i migrate to ESR 45.9. Will security updates end after September 2017 for someone like me with XP and old processor? I read that but it was not certain.
Firefox 45.9.0 ESR is already outdated and is no longer maintained with updates, but is the best option if you have an older processor that doesn't support current releases.
I tried to download 45.9.0 ESR at the link given above: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-45.9.0esr&os=win&lang=en-US
But it redirects and gives me the file: Firefox Setup 52.2.1esr.exe
Where can i download 45.9.0 ESR?
I see there are other websites that offer it. Is there a trusted site? But is it available on mozilla.org?
