The FAQs say;Tap the Menu button (either below the screen on some devices or at the top-right corner of the browser) and select Settings (you may need to tap More first) . Tap Sync. The Firefox Accounts page will open in a new tab.

But I cannot see a "sync" menu option under Settings and or any mention of it in any of the other Settings sections.

Any clues?

To answer my own question, THIS is how you setup sync for Firefox Android... 1. Ignore all of the multiple sets of instructions on the Mozilla help pages and other places that I found from a Google search. 2. Do not look in any of the FIREFOX settings menu items 3. Instead, go to the main ANDROID settings menu 4. Once there, select "Accounts", then "Firefox" 5. You will then see "Sync options / Configure sync"

I don't want to moan, as I've a great deal of respect for everyone involved in the whole Mozilla project, but someone really needs to update the help files to get rid of all these erroneous or outdated instructions.

You are so right Andy... One would expect the bookmark "Sync" option would be in Firefox itself.

Just to add - depending on the device, etc., after you go to Settings --> Account, a menu (three dot) in the top right will have "Auto Sync" as the only option. Kick it off from there.

My own device said "Auto sync activated but not turned on" until I clicked the above.

Thanks for reporting your findings!

Thanks! As for your three-bar menu "auto-sync", I'm guessing that switches sync on for every app and account listed?
