Remembering log in information
Hello, I hope someone an help me with this. When I'm on most websites, they'll require me to type in my username and password and up in the left corner a drop down box appears asking me if I want the sign in information remembered. I always click to have the info remembered, but why does it continue to appear? Is there a way to keep that from appearing every time I'm required to sign in? Thanks for your help.

Do you mean that you can't store a password permanently in the Password Manager?
There is a difference between remembering the name and password in the Password Manager and a "remember me" check box on a web page to log you in automatically. The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and that is send to the server. If this "remember me" cookie is removed or gets corrupted or is not send to the server then the server won't remember you and you will have to sign in once again. You can remove this "remember me" cookie to make the website forget you and require you to sign in again.
Do you see any passwords in the Password Manager?
- Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
It is possible that there is a problem with key3.db (encryption key) and logins.json (encrypted names and passwords) in Firefox.
Try to rename (or delete) the logins.json and key3.db files in the Firefox profile folder in case there is a problem with these files.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
