Updated firefox just a couple of days ago, all was fine for a while.

then it would not download or let me save the downloads to my desktop.

1. have reset firefox, run in safemode, uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, tried changes stated in mozilla support for browserdownloads in about:config, have run scans on my pc

2. when I click the radio button to Save and then the browse button, the browse button does not work in any mode!!

3. after reinstalling now cannot even download and have saved to downloads.

4. have reset all listings under browserdownloads in about:config.

Running xp pro, sp3, fully updated as far as can be updated.

Okay, I solved this problem myself after 3 days of reinstalling, resetting, deleting profiles, running firefox in safe mode, and diabling antivirus.

Well, stopping all my scanners and starting one by one, I found out that Malwarebytes anti-expliot MBAE was the culprit, with that program uninstalled, the browse button works and the downloads are downloading again to my selected location.

Hope this helps someone else. :)
