Have been using TBird for some time; nothing changed (no new add-ons, no updates, etc.) ... Installed on Mac 10.6.8

Started today. In the inbox, as the cursor is moved through the list of new mail, a reply is automatically sent for each message. I re-started Thunderbird. I re-started the Mac ...

Crazy. Any ideas? Thanks much.

Forgot to mention... I am synced to Google (apps) gmail... However, I don't remember any changes on my end. This came on suddenly.

Are these substantive replies, not just read receipts??

Does the reply content provide any clues?

Did you try to reboot the computer and possibly tried another mouse?

jscher: This is what I'm seeing... 1. I'm busy, away from the Mac (not touching the keyboard or mouse)

2. I come back to the Mac, and I notice messages in the Inbox

3. I look in the Sent Mail folder, and notice replies back to the senders in #2.

4. When I examine the 'sent' messages... the body is blank, except for my signature. (The original message text is not there.)

5. I tried 'watching' my Sent folder as new massages arrived, but of course, it didn't occur while I was watching : )

6. I don't know if you saw my note above: Tbird is synced to Gmail.

7. Again, I don't remember changing any configs; can't remember anything that changed (of course, 'something' changed).

Yes, I re-booted.

I was thinking last night 'this sure behaves like an 'out of office' notification...' And sure enough, I checked Gmail and OOO was turned on. NO IDEA how that happened.

Thanks guys.
