In when you edit a document in Word, you use a "track changes" function, which marks all changes and provides an area for comments. I have a google.doc now in my Google and Yahoo inbox that I need to edit so that I can share my edits with a colleague and with the client. How can I do that in a googledoc? It makes changes, but doesn't mark them.

That's a feature of Google docs so this will work in any web browser:

  1. In the google doc, click on the File menu and choose revision history
  2. A revision history menu will appear on the right side of the doc. Select an entry from the list to highlight what was changed.
    • There is also a link in each entry to restore the document to that version.
