I have recently built a new P.C. using Win 7 professional O.S. My previous PC was Win XP O.S. I am uncertain whether this info applies to this topic: On my previous machine when using Firefox, I had a facility to Zoom In using a % zoom facility that was accessed by using my RH mouse button. This does not exist using my new PC. Any ideas where this facility could have originated would be welcome)?

I think you're right that the built-in zoom (e.g., hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel) doesn't show you the percentage increments.

By any chance did you retain a copy of your profile folder from the other PC? Extensions you installed would have been in the profile folder (although often with nonsensical folder names).

If not, you could try using

Tools > Add-ons

and search for zoom related extensions using add-on search.

Many thanks for your replies.

jscher2000 -Although I could quite easily obtain a profile from my previous PC which is still used as a stand alone unit, I have not done so but instead gone to the hyperlinks cor-el has supplied.

Yes the first link applied to what I was referring to, so downloaded the add-on only to discover that it did not appear to provide me with the simple operation I had previously used, whereas,if my memory is correct, all I needed to do in the past was press my RH mouse button to activate, i.e.no A & B buttons were added to toolbar etc. I did however download it but it somehow failed to provide me with the expected facility. Assume this to be due to my using a later version of FF!

NoSquint being the second link has provided me with exactly what I desire and therefore I do not intend pursuing the previously mentioned facility.

Many thanks once again.

I have managed to extract the relevant information from my other PC and have decided to forward the link to you for information. http://imagezoom.yellowgorilla.net/archives/version_046.php This appears in Firefox as an add-on extension titled: Image Zoom 0.4.6 Have decided to revert to using this as it is a bit more user friendly than NoSquint when applied to images as it does not have a text enlarge facility. hope that you find this of interest
